Grow Group Questions - November 2, 2025

Announcement: Please begin asking the Lord how He would like you to give financially as we step into what is Next at Bethany.

Example Topical Prayer Guide sample using “PRAY”:

P – Praise God for His faithfulness, that He remains committed to us even when we are unfaithful to him.
R – Repent of and confess any ways you’ve treated people as objects instead of image-bearers of God.
A – Ask to show you what you need to “cut off” so that you can pursue faithfulness and purity in your relationship with God and others.
Y – Yield your heart fully to God, asking Him to purify and renew you with the courage to do whatever it takes to live in purity and faithfulness.

NEXT Discussion Questions:
  • NOTE: Leaders, please take some time to discuss NEXT with your group.
  • What's your understanding of “One Fund”?
  • How does focusing our giving on a single unified fund help our church better respond to God’s calling through our giving?
  • As we approach Commitment Sunday, how can you prepare your heart to respond out of faith and intimacy with God rather than pressure or guilt?

Ice Breaker: When’s a time someone went the ‘extra mile’ for you—did something kind or helpful they didn’t have to do?

  • We were warned about “pretentious prayer” and “manufactured worship.”
  • Where do you see this tendency in Christian culture—or in your own heart?
  • What are practical ways we can pursue humility and authenticity in worship, prayer, or service?
  • Jesus teaches us to pray, “Your kingdom come, your will be done.”

  • What does it reveal about the kind of citizens we are in the Upside-Down Kingdom?

Application:

  • How might you make prayer or fasting a regular rhythm instead of an occasional crisis response?
