  • Jesus doesn’t pray for His disciples to be removed from the world but for them to be protected from the evil one. What does this tell us about God’s purpose for believers in the world?
  • Why do you think God allows spiritual attacks rather than removing them entirely? (Consider 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 about Paul’s thorn in the flesh.)
  • Sanctification was defined as: a progressive work of God and man that makes someone more free from sin and more like Christ to equip them for a divine mission.
  • What's your response to that definition?
  • What is a believer’s responsibility in sanctification?
