Icebreaker: Jude was Jesus’ half-brother, but he chose not to introduce himself that way. If you had a famous sibling, would you want to mention it or downplay it? Why?

Sermon Discussion:  Read Jude 1:1-2

Jude refers to believers as “called, loved, and kept.”

How do each of these words help define our identity in Christ?

    Going Deeper:

    "Called" (Past Tense)

    • How has God’s calling shaped your sense of purpose or direction in life?
    • Is there an area where you’ve been resisting God's call—maybe to serve, forgive, or obey?

    "Loved" (Present Tense)

  • In what ways do you struggle to believe or rest in the truth that you are deeply loved by God right now?
  • How can knowing you are loved by God influence the way you handle stress, conflict, or self-worth this week?
  • "Kept" (Future Tense)

    • What fears or uncertainties about the future do you need to entrust to God’s keeping?
    • How can the promise that you are “kept for Jesus Christ” give you confidence or peace in the face of current challenges?

    Next Steps:

When you think about your spiritual identity, what voices are the loudest: “I’m not enough” or “I am called, loved, and kept”?

    • What’s one step you can take this week to live more confidently in your identity as a follower of Christ?
