What does the weekend offer?
This weekend offers a perfect opportunity for women of faith to gather together and be refreshed through fellowship, fun, and prayer. You may choose to simply "rest" but we will have several different activities available. There are options to listen to a speaker, worship, do crafts, outdoor activities, workshops, board games or you can simply read a book. Whatever you choose. We like to call it unstructured with options! This is also a great opportunity to invite friends and family that are not attending a church.
How will I get there?
Some ladies will need to volunteer to drive. If you can help out by planning your transportation together, that would be great. If not, we will do our best to match you with a group. We will arrange this scheduling in January.
Fort Wilderness Camp begins at 2:00 p.m. (or whenever you arrive) on Friday evening. Check-out is any time before 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Drive time is around 3.5 to 4 hours.
How much does it cost?
Cost is $165. This covers your lodging, meals, horseback riding, skiing, hiking, and all kinds of fun! The full amount or a deposit of $85 is due when you register to reserve your spot. Write your checks to Lovely Ladies and mail to Diane Wolf, 531 Oak Ave N, Onalaska, WI 54650.
What will I need to bring?
We will have a potato/salad bar Friday evening, so you will only need to eat lunch before you come. Bring a snack to share. If you are planning on the outdoor activities like tubing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing or horse riding it is nice to have snow boots, gloves, hat and snow pants. If you are staying in a cabin you will need to bring your own bedding and towels.
If you have any questions regarding this event, contact Michelle Kendall at 608-781-2466. Diane Wolf is handling the registrations her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
